Quotable:
“We're eager to get back on the track and have the opportunity to get our season started off on a strong note. Between weather affecting us in Gainesville where we only had the two qualifying runs, and then running early on Sunday when a lot of teams struggled to get down the track, it was just a weird weekend overall and we didn't feel like we got the shot at it that we had wanted.
“Although Phoenix is yet another one of the tracks I’ve never raced at I've actually made passes down this track as my first ever test session with the JCM Racing team was at the Phoenix track on Monday following the race last year. So, at least I have had some runs there, even though it was a completely different set up.
“We are still working on improving things in our program, which makes me as a driver feel better in the car, and I'm very excited about that. I just need to let it take its time and when we have everything come together, I think I'm going to feel more confident in the car than I ever have. This is the second out of the first three consecutive races that we're planning to do before we have a gap in our schedule due to only running 10 races because of lack of funding, but we are still working really hard to try and fill in those races that are missing on our schedule, and hope that we can have good news to share soon.”

Quotable:
"We exceeded our expectations tremendously at the first race of the season. Confidence is one hell of a game changer. Our team returned to the shop after that blowup in Gainesville and had lots of work to do to prepare for the next race. They’re an incredible team that I’m very proud of and grateful for. We’ll be returning to the Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge again at the same place where I won the inaugural shootout. That's a testament to how hard these guys have worked to make such progress with little to no time to prepare."
