Returns to the Leatherwood Distillery scheme for the final two events. Earlier in the year, it was announced that Leatherwood was running a sales promotion in which fifty cents of every bottle sold through Veteran’s Day (Nov. 11) will benefit A Soldier’s Child and Brother’s Keeper Veteran Foundation. JCM Racing will present a donation check on behalf of Leatherwood to A Soldier’s Child organization at the upcoming NHRA Finals during pre-race ceremonies. Schumacher will feature a new partner on his 11,000 horsepower machine this weekend when he represents the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 357 and the Southern Nevada National Electrical Contractors Assocation (NECA).
Working together as the Las Vegas Power Professionals, IBEW Local 357 and Southern Nevada NECA, operate as an impartial liaison between labor and management which strives to enhance the image and success of its members, promote fair labor practices, and develop employment opportunities in the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area.

“We had a nice break in the schedule after our Dallas race, which worked out well for me because I was able to fly over to Spain and represent Sweden and the Swedish team in the FIA Motorsport games. It was a great event that was well-attended by several countries and competitors, so it was great meeting and interacting with so many people and representing drag racing. I got a lot of questions about NHRA and the racing over here in the U.S. which is always very cool to be able to talk about. Just a great experience all around, but now I’m back in Indy and looking to close out our rookie season strong.
“I feel like having a little time away with this break before the last two races could be really good for our mindset. We’re refreshed, focused, and looking for more win lights. We’ve got a good car and a good team, and actually my quickest and fastest time to this date is still from testing in Vegas back in April, so it’s exciting to go back to that track, this time as a competitor. Right after the race weekend we’ve got SEMA, which will be a great opportunity to catch up with a lot of partners and other friends in the business.”
