Quotable:

“I’m thrilled to go back to Vegas this weekend for the first of three four-wide races. That’s a track where I’ve had a lot of success – two wins and a pole there, but neither of which were at a four-wide race. Winning a four-wide is on my bucket list. It’s such a great event for the fans and just adds to the level of competition for us drivers. Instead of going head-to-head with one driver, and one team, you’re going up against three drivers and three teams.

“I’m going into this weekend with a new level of confidence and drive knowing we have a full backup car now. That gives (crew chiefs) Mike Neff and Todd Smith the ability to tune the car up more and really step on it because we know we have a backup car should we need.

“Unfortunately, Ida won’t be joining us at this race. She’s only scheduled to do 10 races at this point and I really hope that changes soon. She’s an incredible driver, she’s got a great personality, and her team is amazing. I really hope she gets the sponsorship needed to be able to compete at all of the remaining races this year.”
